 We are a family business dedicated to providing a fun and safe work environment for all of our employees while providing the highest quality materials and workmanship.  

Tom Finn was born in New York City in 1948 and lived there until he was eleven. His family moved to Florida, then on to Arizona until finally landing in California. My father fell in love with Sonoma County, moved here and has never left. He met my mother, Sara, while attending Sonoma State University. He experienced many different jobs in his early years and came to realize that owning his own business would be his career objective. In his early thirties, my father put all of his savings into the purchase of a Backhoe. A business was born; Precision Backhoe & Truck. 

     At a young age, my brother and I would ride around on the Backhoe with our father. During breaks from school, I would accompany my father to his various jobs to learn from him and help out however I could.  Learning about my father's business has kept my interest for as long as I can remember.  

Precision Backhoe & Truck, Inc. was established in 1978 by Tom and Sara Finn, pioneers in the business of on-site wastewater disposal and site development. Among just a handful of other small businesses and professional engineers, they helped establish the many standards of wastewater disposal that exist today. The values that supported their business then are the same as they are today; integrity, quality and respect. 

In keeping with 'family business' tradition, Tom and Sara brought onboard their son, Patrick, in 2001. Patrick has expanded PB&T's scope of business, while maintaining the company's values. Patrick's most recent venture is developing Sonoma Landworks, an expansion of PB&T that better encompasses the level of work and development capabilities. 

In May of 2013 we opened our retail business: bulk landscaping material sales at our yard in Guerneville.
